NOPD: Man caught stuffing crawfish tails down his pants

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A man shoplifted 8 packs of frozen crawfish tails last week from a grocery store on Elysian Fields Avenue, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

Police want the public’s help identifying the thief.

According to the NOPD, the man walked into Canseco’s Store January 27, 2015 around 11:10 a.m. and stuffed eight packs of frozen crawfish tails into his pants. He then proceeded to the checkout counter where he paid for two additional packs of crawfish tails.

The eight packs are valued at approximately $75.

The suspect was described as a black male.  He was wearing a blue or black and yellow sweatshirt, blue jeans and dark color shoes.
