Governor Jindal Honors State Troopers in New Orleans
After more than three weeks of service in New Orleans, Governor Bobby Jindal is honoring state troopers for their work in the city. Since June 29th, troopers have responded to more than 1,200 calls, made more than 400 arrests, seized several hundred thousand dollars worth of illegal drugs and drug money, found more than two dozen stolen vehicles and issued nearly 2,000 traffic tickets. Troopers are expected to leave town in about a week and a half. The temporary plan to help crack down on crime in New Orleans ends on Labor Day.
