Thursday evening, friends and family of Anthony David Simon, Jr., gathered at the spot where he was gunned down in February.
Simon was gunned down by someone in a gray car on that day. He was killed in front of his four-year-old daughter. It happened in Hollygrove in the 8700 block of Pritchard Place.
Silence is Violence organized Thursday’s vigil. The group hopes to keep public attention focused on the murder.
“He was a good person, and he doesn’t deserve any of this. So if y’all know something, please come forward,” Simon’s cousin, Sharrell Bunche, told WGNO News while wearing a memorial t-shirt.
CrimeStoppers is also stepping-up its effort in the case. The reward is now doubled to $5,000. If you’ve got the tip that could lead to an arrest, call 504-822-1111.
