New Orleans police say the 47-year-old man who was stabbed to death in the French Quarter Wednesday night was probably homeless.  They also say he was also stabbed, just days before, during another attack.

Wednesday night’s attack happened a little before 9:00. The man was found unresponsive in the 800 block of Toulouse Street near the corner of Bourbon.  Witnesses told police they saw the victim get into an altercation with another man who shoved him in the chest, knocking him to the ground.

The man was taken to the hospital where he died.

Police say the same man was stabbed Sunday night at about 10:30 on Decatur Street.  They say he was treated and released at an area hospital for his injuries.
