You can still pray,  but you won’t get a break on your tab for it anymore.

A diner in Winston-Salem, North Carolina says it is ending its prayer discount. For years, Mary’s Gourmet Diner had given a 15% discount to customers who pray before their meal.

The story went viral last week, reaching the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” in Wisconsin. The group threatened to sue the diner. They said the discount is discriminatory and illegal, because it’s not offered to people who do not follow any particular faith.

Owner Mary Haglund said the discount was all about gratitude and had nothing to do with religion.
