JPSO detectives say a woman and her 14-year-old daughter were carjacked near Old Metairie. The carjacking happened just before 10pm Saturday on the 600 block of Bonnabel Boulevard, near the I-10 on ramp.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office says a 39-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter were heading South when two men jumped in front of their car asking for help. Detectives say she pulled behind a green Ford Explorer and that’s when one man pulled out a semi-automatic gun and the other took out a rifle and ordered the two victims out of the car and on the ground.

Detectives are now looking for a 4-door, 2008 black Chevrolet Cobalt with Louisiana license plate WTM308.

Investigators say the two men, along with two others in the green Explorer, took off in the Cobalt and left the SUV behind. Detectives are processing the Explorer, but need your help locating the Cobalt.

If you’ve know anything, or it you’ve seen the car call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
