Beginning Wednesday, Causeway Commission workers will begin testing ways to keep cars from going over the edge of the bridge.

Workers will be teaming up with engineers from Texas A&M to look at three ideas.  All of the work will center on the railings on the southbound span of the bridge.

Eventually, the engineers will replicate a 150 foot section of the bridge in College Station to conduct vehicle crash tests.
