New Orleans loses 2019 Super Bowl bid

Voodoo Athlete of the Week Already Has 2016 “Invite”

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) – He’s young, talented, and shelved with an injury. He suffered a torn labrum in his right shoulder in the spring, but that hasn’t stopped recruiters from knocking at his door.

Rummel defensive back Kristian Fulton has visited LSU and Texas A&M. This summer he plans to visit he University of Alabama, The University of Florida, and Florida State.

Fulton, a member of the class of 2016, has already secured an invite from the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

“I like both the schools I visited so far, but I don’t have a leader,” Fulton says.

Fulton’s brother, Keith, was a star running back on back to back state title teams in 2012 and 2013.

Keith will attend Mississippi College this Fall.

“I didn’t realize how good he was until I saw his plays at the end of last season,” Rummel head coach Jay Roth said. “I told him to work hard, because we are going to have a second season. I don’t care what happens in the season, we are going to have a second season, and you are going to be in there.”
