PENSACOLA, Fla. — Heading to the ocean this 4th of July? The shark phenomenon continues on the Gulf Coast.

Hundreds of large sharks are dotting the sandbar on the west side of Pensacola Pass.

“I fish in and out of here and sure we’ll see shark periodically but I don’t ever remember seeing anything like that,” Steve Olive with Orange Beach Helicopter Tours said.

Pensacola Pass is only accessible by boat or a very long hike, and it provides the only access to the gulf from Pensacola Bay.
