After Two and a Half Years Iraqi War Veterans Reunite But with Different Statuses

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – U.S Army veteran Sgt. James Harrington was reunited with his military working dog Ryky Friday.

Ryky is a Belgian Malinois who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense currently does not have a recognized status for working dogs coming home from war. James Harrington hopes to change this.
