Crimestoppers Increases Reward to $5,000 for Information on Deadly Metairie Fire

fire 3METAIRIE, (WGNO) –  Crimestoppers has increased its reward to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for the tragic fire at a Metairie apartment complex.

Three people died June 10th and a fourth was injured after someone deliberately set fire to the stairwell and front door area of the building on the 2300 block of Harvard avenue.

Last night WGNO reported a person of interest” in the case was released from custody.

Now JPSO homicide detectives are asking the public if they saw anyone acting suspiciously during or right before the fire. Anyone with information in this matter is asked to contact Homicide Detective Thomas Gai at 504-364-5300 or CRIMESTOPPERS at (504) 822-1111
