Two Injured in Burger King Parking Lot Shooting

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Two men were injured Tuesday after a man opened fired at a car in a Burger King parking lot, police said.

The shooting happened around 8:50 a.m. at a Burger King near the corner of Franklin and Robertson.

Authorities say the victims were backing out of a parking spot when the suspect began shooting at them.

One man was struck in the head, he is in critical condition, officials said. Another man was hit in the arm. A man and a woman, who were also in the car, received cuts and scraps from shattered glass.

Aside from the man in critical condition, everyone in the car is in their 20s.

The suspect is described as a black man with shoulder length dead locks.
