Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan says outside linebacker Victor Butler is a quality pass rusher, and will prove it this season.

Here’s our report from WGNO Sports.

Some notes from Tuesday’s mini-camp workout.

Center Jonathan Goodwin, signed last week, took some snaps with the first unit, as did Tim Lelito.

Head coach Sean Payton would not comment on a report by NFL network that defensive tackle John Jenkins had surgery for a partially torn pectoral muscle and will not participate again until training camp.

When asked Payton said, “Any questions about mini-camp?”

Quarterback Ryan Griffin of Tulane was effective in red zone snaps.

Griffin’s best throw was a touchdown pass in traffic to rookie #15 Seantavius Jones of Valdosta State.
