CHALMETTE, La. (WGNO) – It`s been said, all gave some. But some gave all.

Chalmette National Cemetery is the final resting place for more than 15,000 veterans. Thirty years ago the first memorial service was held at the cemetery.

Sunday’s ceremony also marked the 150th anniversary of the cemetery, which was established in May of 1864.
