A game played in the dark that’s more meaningful than your eyes can see

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Have you ever heard of a game called, goalball? One person rolls a ball across the court, and another person has to stop it.

Seems simple, but goalball is actually harder than it sounds… It’s a game for visually impaired students developed after World War II when wounded veterans were looking for a game to play.

New with a Twist’s photojournalist Alyson Titkemeyer shows us how it’s played.
