Covington police hope to convince more young people there to wear seat belts.  If they do, they could also wear a t-shirt.

Police call it their I Got Caught campaign.  They’re patrolling area schools in the afternoon and giving t-shirts to kids who they see put on their seat belts when they head home for the day.

The first round of shirts were distributed Monday afternoon at Covington High School.  Area businesses helped put up the money to buy the shirts.
