NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – It’s a beautiful day to be at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Susy and LBJ got to sneak away from work and headed to the Fair Grounds for a couple of hours Friday.

They were in search of something everyone wants at Jazz Fest — but few people find. You can’t buy it..   You can’t borrow it… But you’ll give anything, to get it.

It’s shade!

One obvious place to find shade is at one of the picnic tables under a tent. Just remember that the unofficial Jazz Fest etiquette requires you to leave as soon as you finish the last bite.

Sometimes you could steal some shade under an awning at one of the food booths.

Or park your butt under the Legends of Jazz Fest Billboards in Congo Square and wait for the sun to set behind you. You’ll be swallowed by shade!

Of course, smart people bring umbrellas.
