Tigers Rally to Beat Tennessee, Delgado Clinches Home Field in Miss-Lou Tourney

Boston Red Sox v Baltimore OriolesThe LSU Tigers are now one half game out of first place in the SEC West.

The Tigers tallied five times in the 8th to break a 4-4 tie and beat Tennessee 9-4 Sunday at Alex Box Stadium. LSU won 2 out of 3 games in the weekend series. The Tigers won their 33rd game and moved to 12-8-1 in SEC play.

The Delgado Dolphins won their 37th game of the season, 10=5 over Baton Rouge Community College. The win means the Dolphins will host the Miss-Lou Conference tournament May 9th thru the 11th at Rags Scheuermann Field at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.

The Dolphins scored 4 runs in the third. Chris Eades hit a two run homer for the Dolphins in the 8th. Jordan Priddle pitched five innings to notch the victory.

Wichita State won 10-3, avoiding a weekend sweep at Tulane.

And, UNO fell at Nicholls State 4-3. The Colonels are now in sole possession of the lead in the Southland Conference.
