NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The biggest names in New Orleans music were at the Big Easy Entertainment Awards.
Harrah’s Theater Monday night was where to find local living legends Big Freedia, Kermit, Trombone, Nathan Williams Sr. and James Rivers just to scratch the surface.
27 separate awards honor these talented performers…for their music in the 2013 calendar year.
“It’s definitely a music lover’s paradise tonight,” says master of ceremonies Wild Wayne, keeping the rhythm of the night on time. “If we can salute these artists who’ve been working really hard all year long, man thumbs up.”
Theodore Emile “Bo” Dollis received a Lifetime Achievement award.
Entertainer of the year is Big Freedia
Money raised at the Big Easy Entertainment Awards goes to the Foundation for Entertainment Development and Education.
