Brother Martin right hander Corey Giaconi tossed a complete game three hitter as the Crusaders claimed first place in the Catholic League with a 4-3 win over Jesuit Wednesday night at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium.
Owen Magee drove in a pair of runs.
Magee’s single off the glove of shortstop Alex Galy in the first gave Brother Martin a 1-0 lead.
In the 5th, the Crusaders tallied twice. Greg Deichmann tripled home Daniel Lahare. Magee then singled in Deichmann to give Brother Martin a 4-1 lead.
Jesuit scored twice in the 6th on a ground out and wild pitch.
Brother Martin is 6-1 in league play. Jesuit is 5-2.
