SHREVEPORT – A section of Interstate-220 near LA 3132 was closed for about 11 hours Tuesday after an 18-wheeler carrying corn dogs overturned.
Police say the truck driver was heading west on I-220 when his semi-tractor trailer flipped over and hit a guard rail around 3:40 a.m.
The truck subsequently spilled its load over the roadway. KTBS reports an estimated 75,000 corn dogs ended up on the ground.
Officials say the driver was heading to California.
He was not injured in the accident.
Officials shut down the portion of I-220 that connects to LA 3132 while crews cleaned up the mess.
