LOS ANGELES (WGNO) - Former Saint Darren Sharper will remain without bail in a Los Angeles jail, amidst new charges that he drugged and raped two women in Arizona.
The Los Angeles District Attorney said Arizona will try to extradite the former NFL safety, despite reports last week.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Sharper’s extradition warrant could take 30 – 60 days.
Sharper is also under investigation in California, Louisiana, Nevada and Florida – in cases of alleged sexual assault.
So far, he has only been charged in California and Arizona.
He has pleaded not guilty in the California case and denies the other charges. His attorneys said he maintains any sex was consensual.
Sharper, 38, turned himself over to LA police Febuary 27th when officials in New Orleans issued a warrant for his arrest.
