It’s hard to imagine more parades when Mardi Gras just ended.  But this is New Orleans and it is St. Patrick’s Day.

Tomorrow the Irish Channel St Patrick’s Day Club hits the streets in Uptown.  These guys have been marching around the Garden District and Irish Channel since 1947.  They take to the streets around 1pm tomorrow afternoon.  On Monday, the Irish Channel St Patrick’s Day Club heads deeper into the Channel down to Race and Chippewa streets and St Michael’s Special School.  For years they have been throwing a St. Patrick’s Day festival at Annunciation Square Park.  This mega-block party start at noon and goes all day, with all the proceeds benefitting St Michael’s Special School. We have fun enjoying great people, food, and drinks and St Michael’s Special School get a big check for around $25,000.

The Irish Channel St. Patrick’s Day Club does a lot more than throw a party and march.  These guys give back to New Orleans in so many different ways.  So be there in force to show your support.  They deserve it.
