Cajuns, Chargin’ Bucs advance to title games

country-day-logoCountry Day hopes to defend its 1A state title, Landry Walker made sure St Thomas More won’t get that chance.

The Cajuns and the Chargin’ Bucs both advanced to Saturday title games at the Boys Top 28 at Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles.

The Cajuns went on a 15-0 run early to take control and eliminate #1 seed Arcadia, 53-46.

Landry- Walker got 25 points, including 9 of 10 free throws from Tyree Griffin in a 62-50 win over the Cougars.

St Thomas More was the defending 4A champs.

Landry-Walker will play the winner of Thursday’s Northside vs East Jefferson game in the 4A championship game Saturday night.
