Tulane Falls to Southern Miss, LSU Rallies to Beat Vandy

Tulane is the 7th seed in next week’s Conference USA men’s basketball tournament in El Paso, Texas.

The Wave, 68-51 losers to Southern Miss Thursday night, will play at 1 pm New Orleans time Wednesday against either North Texas or Rice.

North Texas and Rice play Tuesday afternoon.

Southern Miss finished with a 13-3 conference record and earned a share of the league title with a win at Tulane.

For the first time in the history of Conference USA, there was a four way tie for first place.

Louisiana Tech will be the number 1 seed. Tulsa, Middle Tennessee, and Southern Miss all earn first round byes.

In Nashville, LSU rallied from 16 points down in the first half to beat Vanderbilt 57-51. The Tigers move to 9-8 in the SEC.

Johnny O’Bryant scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for LSU.

UNO lost at Lamar 89-70.
