Two Suspects Behind Bars in Laplace Feed Store Killing

In St. John Parish two suspects are behind bars accused of killing the owner of the Laplace feed store.

Steve Finkbeiner was shot and killed Tuesday inside the store he ran for 28 years.

His wife Connie was released from the hospital still recovering from gunshot wounds.

In custody are 22 year old Dracier Dewy and 22 year old Charles McQuarter III

When Dewy turned himself in he told St. John detectives McQuarter pulled the trigger.

Both suspects are charged with first degree murder.

The accused trigger man is being held “without” bond.
