Nagin, A Victim of The Federal Police State

I am going to shock most of you by saying that I believe Ray Nagin to be an innocent man, wrongfully accused and soon to be sentenced by an illegitimate authority. Now before you ready my suite at the Wacky Acres mental hospital hear me out. Nagin is a victim of the city of New Orleans’ perverse devolution into a federal city, call it Mordor on the Mississippi River. By begging the most corrupt institution on Earth, the national government, to commandeer her affairs this once greatest of all Southern Jewel cities is now nothing more than a pimp for Mordor on the Potomac.

Let’s start with the basics, the U.S. Constitution limits the power of the Feds “To exercise…Legislation in all Cases…, over such District (not exceeding ten Miles square) as may…become the Seat of the Government of the United States.” That is the only municipal power granted to the Feds, yet Nagin stood accused, then convicted of 21 counts of “federal corruption charges” which clearly should only apply to officials of the “ten miles square”. Let me call an expert witness to the stand in Nagin’s defense, James Madison, esquire. “The local or municipal authorities [are] distinct and independent…[and are] no more subject… to the general authority than the general authority is subject to them…”

New Orleans has surrendered her Police Department, her jails and now her mayors office to the rapacious national government, if this surrender isn’t halted, there will be nothing left for the sovereign people to govern. It is disgraceful to witness another major American city being rendered incapable of discharging the simplest of government’s duties; like enforcing OUR corruption laws and punishing their offenders. Ray Nagin may have been “on the take” and he also may be as corrupt as the Long Brothers but that is a matter for us to decide but like the infamous Katrina image of a parking lot full of school buses our leaders heads are underwater.
