One thing that won’t be stopped by this week’s winter storm is Saturday’s big election in New Orleans.

Thursday morning, workers with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office joined Clerk of Court Arthur Morrell to verify that the machines are in good working order.

Saturday, voters in New Orleans will decide a list of issues including the races for mayor, some council seats, coroner, and sheriff.
