Family members of New Orleans musician Doug Potter announced the creation of an account to help with his mounting medical bills.

Donations can be made to the Doug Potter Fund at any Capital One Bank.

Potter was ambushed by two men late Monday night on Conti Street.

His family members say, Potter is now off a ventilator and is no longer receiving heavy doses of pain killers.

Police have two suspects in the case.  One, Reeshawn Arnold, is behind bars.  Detectives are looking for the other identified as Terrell Belvin.

Anyone with information on Belvin is asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
