A Battle of the Brews

The battle between the Saints and Seahawks just got hotter. Who Dat’s are calling on coffee connoisseurs  to boycott Seattle-based Starbucks coffee in a little friendly battle of the brews.  It’s in an effort  to promote local coffee shops and the Saints team spirit.

“The heads of both ports are having their competition.  A lot of people do that. Mayors will compete. People will say; here’s our favorite meal versus your favorite meal,” says Michael Bartlett of Z’otz Coffee House.

The “Grind the Seahawks” campaign only runs through the Saints and Seahawks show down this weekend.

” I don’t have anything against Starbucks itself, they have done a lot for coffee culture in America,  but here in  New Orleans, we have had our own coffee culture, and we have a different flavor to things.  I want to celebrate that. There are a lot of great shops in New Orleans,” Bartlett says.
