We are turning the country upside down looking for a command anchor with strong ability to adlib breaking coverage and enterprise reporter who develops sources and breaks big stories. Minimum 4 years anchor/reporter experience in a professional commercial TV broadcast news environment preferred.
Successful candidate must have strong anchoring and reporting skills and ability to cover a diverse range of topics. Job will include a mix of anchoring and reporting including live reporting. Candidate should have story ideas, ability to develop contacts and be up-to-date on current events. Strong writing skills are a necessity as are solid news judgment, an outgoing personality and quick wit. Must be willing to participate in promotional events and make community appearances on behalf of the station. A bachelor’s degree in journalism is preferred
