News with a Twist

Louisianians swear a lot, but we’re courteous about it

When it comes to southern hospitality, it’s hard to top the great state of Louisiana. A new survey says Louisiana is the fourth most courteous state in the country, but the survey has a twist!

You know how when you call customer service and a voice tells you, this call may be monitored?  An ad firm listened to more than 600,000 of those calls and found that our state has the fourth highest number of people who use swear words on those calls!

Ohioans cursed the most followed by folks in Maryland, New Jersey, and Illinois to round out the top 5.

People in Washington state were least likely to curse, followed by people in Massachusetts.
