Thanksgiving Parade Kicks off Bayou Classic Weekend

The annual Bayou Classic football game between Grambling State and Southern University kicks off a milestone forty year anniversary.

The annual parade on Thanksgiving featured the school’s world class marching bands.

The very first Bayou Classic between the Tigers and the Jaguars was at Tulane stadium in 1974.

Now close to 200,000 people come to New Orleans for the Bayou Classic weekend bringing with them an economic impact of fifty million dollars.

Grambling State holds the overall lead in the Bayou Classic college football series twenty games to nineteen.
