NOPD graduates 23 new recruits

The New Orleans Police Department is getting a few new members on the force: 23 recruits graduated from the department’s training academy Friday morning.

This is the second class hired since higher standards were put in place for recruits. Recruits now have to have 60 hours of college credits or two years of military service to apply for the program.
