Perception is, LSU has nothing to lose Saturday night. After all, with two losses, LSU is out of the national championship picture. Alabama is chasing a third consecutive title.
But the stakes for the Tigers and Les Miles are incredibly high.
LSU must – at the very least – play a competitive game. If the Tigers are whipped badly, perception (and perception often drives recruiting) is that LSU is no longer in the same neighborhood with Alabama.
The perception that LSU doesn’t want is that Les Miles is miles behind the Crimson Tide.
