(from the Krewe of Alla) – The Krewe of Alla introduced its 2014 monarchs at its Allagalla coronation ball Saturday night at English Turn Country Club in Algiers. We are proud to have as King Alla LXXXII The Hon. Chris Roberts, Jefferson Parish Council Chairman, and as Queen Alla LXXXII Miss Gabrielle Lynn Taylor. Both are natives of Terrytown. Roberts has been a loyal supporter of Alla and Jefferson Parish Mardi Gras and has served his community on the school board and Jefferson Parish Council. Miss Taylor is a senior at Bishop Kenny High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Alla will parade at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014, on the Uptown New Orleans route. Hail, Alla! Be a part of history as “Alla Goes to NOLA.”
Alla’s 2014 monarch of merriment, Jefferson Parish Council Chairman Chris Roberts, was raised in Terrytown and is a life-long resident of Jefferson Parish’s West Bank.
