D.A. will not seek death penalty for Michael Singreen

Michael Singreen, who is accused of beating his parents to death in 2009, will not face the death penalty according to the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office.

Police say at the time of his arrest, Singreen said he attacked Shirley and Harry Singreen because he was tired of them.

A trial is set to start January 7.
