Give up eating Louisiana shrimp: Monterey Aquarium

What does everyone have against eating shrimp? The Monterey Bay Aquarium is telling people to avoid eating Lousiana wild-caught shrimp because the state bars the enforcement of federal requirements for turtle escape hatches in trawls. (See their report by clicking here.)

The group says that because of that, thousands of endangered or threatened sea turtles are accidentally caught and killed.

This isn’t the first time our shrimp has made a list: back in July the ocean conservation group Oceana told us that we have to give up shrimp if we want to be responsible seafood eaters.
