News with a Twist

Why is the NFL a non-profit organization?

It’s no secret that the NFL is just boiling over with money, right? Last year alone they raked in $9 billion. So why on earth on they referred to as a non-profit organization?

As a non-profit, the NFL doesn’t pay any federal or corporate taxes.

Well, leave it to a diehard Saints fan to say enough is enough: Lynda Woolard started a petition on Change.org that’s been signed by more than 200,000 people calling on Congress to revoke the NFL’s non-profit status.
