Monday’s Wheel of Justice report kicked off with the search for the killer of Kirsten Brydum who was shot to death five years ago.  Brydum’s friends and family have been working on their own to help solve the now-cold case.  They say they know who may be responsible for the woman’s death.  Brydum came to New Orleans to help with the Hurricane Katrina recovery.  Her friends believe the person responsible for her murder may have also been killed.  They’re asking police to obtain a DNA sample from the man to compare to evidence collected at the Brydum murder scene.

Also on Monday’s report, the NOPD released a photo of a man who police say is responsible for an attack on board a RTA bus.  According to police, the attack happened last Wednesday when the bus was near the corner of St Bernard Avenue and North Prieur Street.

Monday’s Wheel of Justice report ended with a purse snatching case in the French Quarter.  Video shows the two thieves tearing down Iberville Street with the woman who owns the stolen purse running after them.  The purse snatching happened early Saturday morning, and the two thieves got away.
