Person of Interest Sought in Faubourg St. John Shooting
(from the New Orleans Police Department) – First District Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the video. He may have critical information about the shooting of a 36-year-old man, which occurred yesterday around 6:30pm, in the 3000 block of Ponce De Leon Street.
The victim was walking in the block when an unknown gunman possibly on a bicycle opened fire on him. The victim sustained several gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The individual in the video is NOT wanted for the shooting at this time, He’s simply “person of interest.”
First District Detective Shawn Jenkins is in charge of the investigation.
