Former Saint sues NFL over in new concussion lawsuit

A former Saint is one of four ex-NFL players suing the league in a new concussion lawsuit.

Former Saint Rich Mauti, along with Jimmy Williams, Jimmy Keyes, and Nolan Franz claim the NFL and its helmet-maker hid information about the dangers of brain injury.

Three of the ex-player’s wives are also plaintiffs. They say the brain injuries have deprived them – and will deprive other NFL spouses – of their husband’s services and companionship.

NFL chief Roger Goodell says the recent concussion settlement makes the lawsuit a moot point.
