“I’ll battle the sun, or go play in the rain or I’ll skip up the street,” says Darryl “Dancing Man 504” Young. “I’m more of a guy who likes to skip.”

‘Dancing Man 504’ loves having a great time.

Festivals, the French Quarter or the front of a second line is where you’ll find him doing his “heel to toe.”

“When I teach it to adults, I do it to a fitness aspect that I call BrassXcise,” says Young. “BrassXcise is fitness to brass band music as you learn the second line dance.”

For Darryl, dancing is a philosophy on life and even on the hottest day in New Orleans he’s doing what he loves.
