LSU dental school awarded grant for HIV patient care

Louisiana’s only dental school, LSU’s Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, received a $2 million grant to teach students how to care for patients with HIV and AIDS.

The students in the program work at clinics in New Orleans and in Alexandria.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge have some of the highest rates of HIV infection in the nation.
