2014 Property Tax Assessments/Erroll Williams/Orleans Assessor

Anne Cutler talks to Erroll Williams about next year’s property tax assessments, the addition of the new online appeals process and how property assessments in general are determined for Orleans Parish.

Property Owners can File Online Appeals

For the first time since the Orleans Assessor’s office opened for public business, property owners will be able to submit appeals of the valuation placed on their property without having to visit a government office.

All appeals whether in person or online must be submitted to the Assessor no later than August 15.

If the filer does not want to seek an appeal from the Assessor, they can file an appeal to the City Board of Review online at the www.nolaassessor.com site until August 20.
