Thibodaux Teen Dies in fall from Alabama Condo

Orange Beach, Alabama Police Chief Billy Wilkins confirms that his department is investigating the death of 18-year-old Challenge Talbot of Thibodaux.

Investigators say it appears that Talbot fell from a 16th story balcony at the Turquoise Place Condominiums into a swimming pool.

A couple passing by the pool spotted Talbot face-down in the water around 3:45 a.m. Friday. A responding officer tried to revive Talbot with CPR but was unsuccessful.

There were no witnesses to the fall, and the investigation is ongoing.

An autopsy is being performed on Talbot Friday. Those results are pending.

Police do not suspect foul play in this incident.

Talbot is a recent graduate of E.D. White High School where he was on the second runner up swimming team at the state championships last year.
