George Zimmerman confers with his defense counsel, Mark O’Mara and Don West, after Judge Debra Nelson informed them that the jury had a question in instructions for a charge of manslaughter, on the 25th day of Zimmerman’s trial at the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center, in Sanford, Fla., Saturday, July 13, 2013. Zimmerman is charged with unlawful killing in his fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin, an unarmed teen, in 2012. Zimmerman says he shot Martin in self-defense after Martin attacked him, bashing his head against the concrete, and reaching for his pistol when it became exposed during the struggle.
