There’s a new way to fly out of the New Orleans metro area. The first flight from Southern Airways Express landed at the Lakefront Airport Monday morning.

Passengers are allowed to arrive 15 minutes before take-off, avoid lines, and skip security, but the small planes only have room for nine.

Southern Airways also flies to Oxford, Mississippi; Gulf Shores; Destin; Panama City, Florida; and soon to Birmingham. One-way tickets start at $129.
