Can you imagine a Mardi Gras parade without any plastic beads? The Krewe of Freret is finally returning to the parade route after being absent for quite some time.

The krewe hasn’t officially decided if they’ll ban plastic beads or not, but they’re strongly considering it.

Instead of the cheap plastic beads, they’re thinking about locally-made throws that parade goers seem to favor.
