Hobie Hotard

Jesuit senior Hobie Hotard has finished off a stellar prep career.

Hotard recently won his 4th consecutive state singles crown. He did not lose a set ever in singles in Louisiana high school competition.

Hotard said winning 4 straight singles was a goal, but only one of several: “At the beginning of the year, that was something I set out to do along with the team championship. That was more important. It was always in the back of my head.”

Hotard has signed with LSU. His goal as a freshman is to make his way into the starting lineup.

Hotard has always been an intense player on court. Now, he needs more.

“I want to work as hard as I can, as much as I can,” Hotard told WGNO Sports. “I know that is the only way I can get into the starting lineup.”
